About
RDA are delighted to be at Badminton again in 2024 and can’t wait to meet visitors to this prestigious event, in its 75th year. We will have Charley, the mechanical horse, with us for everyone to try – along with games, puzzles and a few surprises!
Do come and say hello to our amazing RDA volunteers, from right across the country. They will be at the stand to let visitors know all about the many great benefits of volunteering, and taking part in RDA activities, at any of our 400 plus groups.
Come and see us, have fun and support our life changing work.
Riding for the Disabled (RDA) is the only major UK charity whose focus is squarely on the therapeutic benefits of bringing people and horses together, drawing on 55 years of experience. At a time when more and more people are recognising the physical and emotional benefits of interacting with animals, RDA’s mission to ensure that everyone with a disability can benefit from the unique bond between humans and horses has never been more relevant.
At RDA, our horses benefit the lives of over 20,000 disabled children and adults. With fun activities like riding and carriage driving, we provide therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement – supported by 13,000 amazing volunteers and qualified coaches at over 400 RDA centres.
We welcome participants with physical and learning disabilities and autism, and there are no age restrictions. RDA is at work in every corner of the UK, bringing the therapy, achievement and fun of horses to as many people as we can.
We rely on volunteer people power, horse power, and generous donations to help fund our life-changing work.
