Biography
It is a first Badminton for American visitor Jennie Brannigan (37) who is based in Pennsylvania. In both 2023 and ’24 with Badminton entry FE Lifestyle Jennie completed both Lexington and Burghley and together the combination has seven 5* completions.
Jennie grew up in Galena, Illinois, originally riding a variety of horses under the instruction of Jane McGirk and became interested in eventing aged 13 when she became a working student for Allison Springer. Later, Jennie worked for acclaimed show jumper Susie Hutchinson, where she developed as a rider and a horsewoman while she improved her show jumping skills under the watchful eye of one of show jumping’s greats. Jennie is a successful alumna of the Young Riders program, having won team and individual gold at the 2008 NAYC for eventing with her KWPN gelding, Cooper. In 2010, Jennie moved to Pennsylvania to train under Phillip Dutton growing her love of the sport of eventing, She had her first completion at the top level of the sport in 2015 at the Kentucky Three-Day Event with Cambalda.
FE Lifestyle is a 15-year-old German-bred (DSP registered) gelding. Showjumping bred he is by the Holstein Leo von Faelz out of mare by the stallion Brandenberger a son of the KWPN Beachboy. He was acquired from Clayton Fredericks in 2016.
