Biography
British rider Georgia Bartlett (24) who is based near Thatcham in Berkshire gained her first Badminton completion last year with Spano De Nazca her entry this year also. The pair has represented GB in two Junior European Championships winning team silver in both 2018 & 2019.
In 2023 Georgia set up a full-time base at Heatherwold Stud and now has a string of horses from four-year-old to 5*.
Georgia who is one of the younger riders this year, comes from a family of event riders; her Grandmother Wendy Wybrew, was a former DC of the Chiddingfold Farmers PC and pony team selector later becoming a leading figure in private driving. Her parents Katie and Jeremy actually met at a British Junior team training camp – Katie was national Junior Champion in 1987 – and her aunt Charlotte (Wybrew) was twice a member of the British pony team winning team silver and team bronze then won junior team gold at Rotherfield Park (1991) and competed at Burghley.
Georgia began competing through the PC competing in the PC dressage championships with her first pony with who she won the Stonar Schools National Championship. In 2015 with pony number two she won the PC eventing championship. In 2019 Georgia won the National Junior title taking home the trophy her mother had won 30 years previously.

Spano De Nazca is an 19-year-old French-bred Anglo-Arab gelding. He is by Daguet Du Rochau out of Fedora de Petra by Veganum (a son of the esteemed stallion Laudanum). He was originally ridden to 2*S level by French rider Louis Seychal (a working pupil of Andrew Nicholson) and was acquired as a first horse for Georgia after ponies in 2017. The pair has progressed through the levels together. Badminton 2023 was the first 5* for the combination.
