Biography
British rider Will Rawlin (31) completed his first Badminton last year (24th) with Ballycoog Breaker Boy – his entry this year. They later contested Burghley but did not complete.
Will is based near Marlborough where he runs his own yard. At the end of last year he won the 3*L at Ballindenisk (Camee de Muze). In 2023 with his other horse The Partner, Will completed his first 5* at Luhmuhlen and with Ballycoog Breaker Boy completed Blenheim and competed in the Nation Cup team in Arville (19th).
Will comes from a supportive non-horsey family – his father competed in cross country skiing biathlon in the 1984 winter Olympics.
Will trains with Richard Waygood, Tracie Robinson and Jay Halim and away from horses Will enjoys skiing and keeping fit with CrossFit training.
Ballycoog Breaker Boy owned by the Rawlin family is an Irish-bred, Irish Sport Horse registered 13-year-old gelding. Bred by Louise Godkin he is by Womanizer out of a mare by the thoroughbred Bonnie Prince. His full brother Ballycoog Guiness is currently competing in BE. Breaker Boy was acquired as a four-year-old from GHF Equestrian and initially produced by Vicky Tuffs. With Will he has attained top 10 places in all the national age championships and in 2023 won the FEI 3* at Charlbury. In 2025 he completed his first 5* at Badminton.
