Biography
It will be a third consecutive visit to Badminton for British rider Kylie Roddy (42) who will be aiming for her first completion. In 2023 with Badminton entry SRS Kan Do she finished in 5th place at Pau 5* and in 2022 the pair was 6th at Luhmuhlen.
Kylie who is based in Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire is a professional rider and has been competing for over 20 years. She now runs a livery yard and is the proprietor of the Aqua Equestrian equine therapy centre. She is also a BSHI coach. In 2001 Kylie was a member of the British gold medal team at the European Young rider Championships. In 2021 with SRS Kan Do she was 11th at Pau 5* her first event at the level.
Kylie trains with Ian Woodhead, Ferdi Eilberg, Caroline Moore and Corinne Bracken.
Outside of competing she enjoys boxing, keep fit and running. She has now started her own breeding programme under the prefix of Kinda. Her sister Jenna competes in dressage.
SRS Kan Do (aka George) owned by The Fox family is a 13-year-old Irish-bred (ISH) gelding. Bred by Michael Dooner of Athlone he is by the jumping sire VDL Arkansas out of La Vie En Rose by Touchdown. He was acquired by the Fox family as a four-year-old and originally started by Michael Fox. Kylie took over when his acting career took off (he was the footman Andrew Parker in Downton Abbey).
