Biography
British rider Fiona Kashel (41) completed Badminton on her debut in 2022 with Creevagh Silver de Haar one of her two entries this year.
Fiona is based near Cranleigh in Surrey where she is a livery yard manager.
Fiona is married to Jeremy and the couple has a three-year-old son.
She trains with Damian Hallam and Robert Snaddon.
WSF Carthago owned by Fiona’s Father Frank Breach, is a 13-year-old Irish Sport horse registered gelding. Bred by the Waterfall Stud in Co Cork he is by the Holstein sire Cobra out of Enigma by the thoroughbred sire Viking. He was acquired in 2015 and brought through the grades by Fiona. In 2022 the pair completed Pau and Luhmuhlen 5*.
Creevagh Silver de Haar owned by the rider is a 15-year-old Irish Sport Horse (ISH) gelding. Bred by Creevagh House in Monaghan he is by Camiro De Haar Z out of a Vanir Silver River by Golden River. He is bred along the same lines as Piggy French’s 2019 Badminton and Burghley winner Vanir Kamir (also by Camiro De Haar Z) who was out of the full sister to Vanir Silver River. Silver De Haar was acquired from JP Sheffield who produced him to 1*. He completed his first 5* at Badminton last year and later in the year completed Pau 5*.
