Biography

New Zealander Bundy Philpot (38) last competed at Badminton in 2007. With Badminton entry Tresca NZPH she was the reserve for the NZ team for the Tokyo Olympic Games. Tresca was the New Zealand 2020 4* ‘horse of the year’.

Bundy who is based near Cambridge, Waikato, grew up on a farm in Hawkes Bay and went to Central Hawkes Bay PC before moving north with her father Bryan to Waikato. She has recently relocated to the UK, now based in Oxfordshire, with six horses with the aim of staying for three years – ‘to give it a go’.

Bundy has also represented NZ in showjumping. She trains with Jock Paget

Tresca NZPH owned by Bryan Philpot and rider, is a 16-year-old NZ Sport Horse gelding. Bred by Bridget Kirk of the NZPH stud in Hastings he is jumping bred by Fuego du Prelet (a son of Jalisco B) out of mare by the SF Barbarian. He was acquired from the breeder as a four-year-old has been produced by Bundy.
