Biography
British rider Emma Hyslop-Webb (39) made her Badminton debut in 2019 gaining two completions (Pennlands Douglas and Waldo). Emma is based near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire where she runs a 20-box yard.
Emma learnt to ride at an early age (her parents now own Vale View Equestrian Centre) and founded her skills in the hunting field – her mother hired horses for hunting and it became Emma’s job to ensure they were competent jumpers. Emma left school after A levels and went to work for a leadership development company, initially as PA to the MD then latterly as head of sales. In 2009 she resigned from her job to ride full time but still speaks on the subject of personal development. Emma also competes in showjumping as well as eventing.
Emma is married to Richard Webb.
She trains with Chris Bartle, Ian and Amy Woodhead
Waldo III is a 19-year-old Dutch-bred gelding. He is by Faldo out of a mare Henzo. He has been owned since a three-year-old and produced through the grades by Emma.
